This morning, we went to the doctor and had an ultrasound. The babies were sleeping comfortably, had strong heartbeats, and plenty of embryonic fluid. I had been to the doctor on Wednesday because I had a little dark discoloration that concerned me. They saw 2 areas in my uterus that indicated bleeding. They didn't know what caused them and wanted to see if they'd resolve. When they did the ultrasound today, only one area of blood was still there and it had decreased in size. So, it seems that the bleeding I had was just one of those areas being eliminated and luckily it had no impact on the babies. There is a chance this might happen again, but it could also "resolve". I go back on March 20th for another ultrasound to monitor the bleeding.
We are so relieved and feel much better today. I feel great and we know the babies are doing well too. These situations can drive you crazy, but they also remind you that you are surrounded by amazing people. I am so thankful that:
1. Michelle stayed with me until Scott arrived. She is a wonderful friend.
2. Scott instinctively knew I needed him and I didn't have to ask him to come. When he arrived, he was strong and comforting and amazing.
3. I work with so many wonderful people who surround me with support, love, and friendship daily.
4. We had a doctor and staff who take good care of us.
5. We are surrounded by so many wonderful family members and friends.
6. We have so many people praying for us and our babies...Thank you!!
